Kevin Smith does horror.
Fantastic cast, great plot (it really gets moved along in unpredictable ways), and scary because it’s not that hard to believe. I also enjoyed the fact that he didn’t make it all good guys vs bad guys. He laid out the failings of the police and investigative unit as well as the family’s horrific actions.

Ben and I watched last night. Very funny spoof of awful teen horror flicks.
Also: Alan Tudyk is one of my favorites.

We rented this from iTunes last night. I was near tears at so many parts just thinking about the idea of bringing a little girl into this sort of environment.

Terrifying and depressing. YOU’RE DOING EVERYTHING WRONG.

Where the fuck is Prince Eric?

For a documentary focused on the mis-education of Americans on how evolution ACTUALLY works (not “my uncle wasn’t no monkey!”), evolution wasn’t actually explained very much. I mean, I personally know the theory of evolution, but I feel like that’s missed opportunity. They did a nice job discussing the politics, discussing how Intelligent Design cannot be called a scientific theory, and not trying to demonize the individuals at the center of the Intelligent Design “debate.”

Amélie (2001)

I am so in love with Amelie

Marilyn was 26 in this movie—my age. What a babe.
